Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
